HP has unveiled a new portable HDD for mobile users that has USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity. The drive is very small and portable with measurements of 4.47" L x 3.15" W x 0.75" H and weighs 0.44 pounds. That means that the thing can be slipped into a pocket and should easily fit into a laptop bag or brief case.
The drive can be had in 500GB, 750GB, or 1TB capacities and supports Microsoft Windows OS'. The drive is designed to be very compact and portable thanks to its size and it doesn’t need an AC adapter. The HDD gets connectivity and power directly from the USB port.
The USB 3.0 connectivity coupled with the large storage capacity will make the HDD perfect for backing up large data sets when away from home or the office. The drive will work with any computer brand and HP is mum on pricing and availability right now.
