I already talked a bit about the HTC HD7 smartphone today and a similarly named HTC 7 Pro smartphone is one of the new offerings from the company. The smartphone is smaller than the HD7 with a screen that is 3.6-inches wide and has a 400 x 800 resolution. The screen is touch sensitive and the phone measures 4.63" x 0.61" x 2.32" and weighs 6.53 ounces. One thing that 7 Pro offers that the HD7 lacks is a slide out QWERTY keyboard that can be used in landscape orientation.
The Pro 7 has a 1GHz CPU and will have 8GB of internal data storage. The amount of ROM inside the smartphone is 512MB and the RAM is 448MB. A 5MP camera with autofocus and flash is integrated and that camera will record 720p resolution video. There are several scene modes integrated into the camera as well.
Other features include 3.5mm headphone jack, micro USB port, a G-sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, and an ambient light sensor. The phone supports 3G, GPRS, EDGA and WiFi connectivity. Support for HTC Hub is integrated with weather, stocks, and more along with apps and games to download. The smartphone also has Bluetooth with A2DP and lots more. The battery is a 1500mAh unit good for 420 minutes of WCDMA talk, 330 minutes on GSM when talking and 420 hours of standby on WCDMA and 360 hours on GSM standby. Pricing and availability are unknown.
