Samsung has announced a new firmware update is available for its small interchangeable lens camera called the NX10. The little camera is one of the ones that promise DSLR quality in a more compact body. The latest firmware update for the camera is version 1.20 and it adds a nice new feature to the mix.
The update will allow the camera to work with the new i-Function lenses from Samsung. These lenses have a special GUI that is required to allow the user to hit the i-Function button on the lens and then access settings and controls by spinning a ring on the lens, as you would do to focus a DSLR camera.
The update brings support for the 20-50mm lens and a 20mm wide-angle pancake lens. The firmware also updates the GUI of the NX10 to offer the needed settings for the new lenses. The firmware is a free download and is available right now.
