Apple Back to Mac Event announced for October 20

Apple Back to Mac Event announced for October 20

Apple just sent out invites for an event on October 20th. The Event invite reads Back to the Mac. This means Apple's Steve Jobs will unveil new stuff related to Mac Computers. A new MacBook Air is in the rumor mill. There is also wishful thinking about an iMac touch, but that one looks unlikely. This Oct. 20 Apple media event could also be about software.

Apple could already drum up excitement for OS X 10.7. Rumors about OS X 10.7 already appeared back in 2009, but nothing really is known yet about the upcoming Apple Mac OS. THhe Apple Back to Mac invite shows a Lion behind the logo, if I am not mistaking. Will OS X 10.7 be called Lion? After Snow Leopard it is time for another big cat. A lion is a very big cat. Will OS X 10.7 be worthy to be called lion?
Either way, all eyes will be on Apple on October 20, which is Wednesday next week. Apple will hold its quarterly earnings call two days earlier on Oct. 18.

Via Engadget. Update: A look at what OS X 10.7 Lion can be.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
