Cobra Electronics has been making radar detectors just about as long as radar detectors have been around. The company has announced its latest radar detector today and the thing is aimed at the iPhone user. The detector is called the Cobra iRadar Detection System.
Update:
The Cobra iRadar is on sale on Amazon.
The iRadar has a normal looking radar detector for the car that connects to your iPhone via Bluetooth. The iPhone can then be used to control the settings of the radar detector and can show the alerts that the detector offers right on the phone.
The iRadar system detects all radar and laser guns on the market and offers 360-degree protection for the driver. The iRadar device can also work without a paired iPhone. In addition to detecting laser and radar guns, the device also has a camera and driving hazard database. The iRadar will sell for $169.95 and is available right now.
