We have seen several Wii Remote accessories for gamers that like to play table tennis games on the Wii. The thing that they all have in common is that they are typically made to use the factory Wii remote slipped inside the accessory. Shinobii has unveiled a new Wii controller that looks like a ping-pong paddle that needs no Wii Remote.
The controller is called the TT Champion Bat and it has all the electronics inside for controlling the game, and has MotionPlus capability as well. The controller is compatible with all MotionPlus games and the player can control movement, torque, spin control, and more.
The controller has an integrated rechargeable battery and the paddle looks and feels like a real ping-pong paddle. The controller will be available "soon" in the EU and North America for $69.99.
