Microsoft kicks off the Countdown to Kinect.

The new Microsoft Kinect motion controller is going on sale on November 4th. Microsoft announced now 17 Kinect games that will be available at launch. The company also announced he launch of a multiyear advertising campaign for Kinect.

Today Kinect will get the Oprah treatment. Kinect will be featured on The Oprah Show as part of the Susan Boyle, Jackie Evancho: What Happened to the Next Big Thing? segment. Microsoft also has already lined up Ellend Degeneres to play with Kinect on her show later this month.

Kinect is available for pre-order as all-in-one solution with the Xbox 360 4GB Console priced at $299.99 or as stand-alone Kinect for Xbox 360 controller priced at $149.99, which works with all Xbox 360 boxes. Pre-order Kinect on Amazon.

The list of the 17 Kinect launch titles include Kinectimals, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout, Fighters Uncaged and Motion Sports. Find the complete list below with short descriptions of each Kinect game.

“Kinect Adventures” (Good Science Studio/Microsoft Game Studios), included with every Kinect sensor, Nov. 4. Float in outer space. Experience the thrill of roaring rapids. “Kinectimals” (Frontier Developments Ltd./Microsoft Game Studios), $49.99 ERP (U.S.)/$59.99 ERP (U.S.) limited collector’s edition, Nov. 4. “Kinectimals” invites children, their parents and animal lovers of all ages to build lasting friendships with some of the world’s most exotic creatures. Just like real pets, your feline cubs will come running when they hear your voice, respond to commands such as “jump,” “roll over” and “play dead,” and purr with joy when you scratch them behind their ears.
