The PDA is alive and well in the business world with workers that are in the field needing a small and portable machine that can be used with one hand, yet is strong enough to survive drops. DAP technologies has unveiled a couple new rugged PDAs called the M2000 series.
The series has one model with an alphanumeric keypad and other another with a QWERTY keyboard. Both of the PDAs have the same specs inside with 128MB of SDRAM, 1GB of Flash, and WiFi. Other features include Bluetooth and optional GPRS/EDGE connectivity.
The PDAs also have hot swappable batteries and a SD card slot that the user can reach. Other options include a couple barcode scanner options and more. The CPU inside the PDAs is the Marvell PXA270 running at 520MHz.
