French audio firm EarSonics has a set of audiophile grade earphones that are being offered for the first time in the US through Sound Earphones online. The earphones are the EarSonics SM3 and they sell for $379 with free shipping.
That is a lot of money for earphones, but they promise audiophile grade sound for music fans with a 3-way passive crossover and individual drivers for low, mid, and high range sounds. The individual drivers deliver a broad response range according to the maker.
The frequency response is 20 Hz to 18kHz and the earphones have 17 ohms impedance. Sensitivity is 122dB/mW and the earphones ship with a soft pouch to carry them in. The earphones come with Comply foam tips and silicon tips for a comfortable fit.
