I know there are many geeks out there that like to collect action figures from various games, movies, and other mediums. If you have always wanted to have your own action figure, a company called Sculpteo can make that happen for you.
Sculpteo will take a photo that you upload to its website and can construct an avatar for you that actually looks like you. If you don’t want your face on an action figure you can also choose to have the company 3D print you one of a number of other designs from its site.
The company will also provide a 3D print of other objects that users design in 3D software. The figures can be ordered in plastic for a flexible product or in plaster for a solid item that doesn't move. The size of the object can be 2 to 10 inches depending on the material. The finished product can be multicolor or monochrome. Pricing for custom avatars starts at $74.90.
