AT&T reports a growth of 11.4% in wireless revenues and more than 8 million device sales. AT&T got 2.6 million new wireless customers, which marks the highest third-quarter net gain in the company's history. AT&T stands now at 92.8 million subscribers in service. The wireless churn is the lowest for a Q3 quarter with 1.32%.
Revenues are $31.6 billion which is up 2.8% compared to same period last year.
“This was a terrific mobile broadband quarter,” said Randall Stephenson, AT&T chairman and chief executive officer. “A record number of customers signed new two-year contracts and integrated device sales outpaced our previous best by a wide margin. Wireless revenues continue to grow, churn is reaching record low levels, and postpaid ARPU increased for the seventh straight quarter."
Carriers are doing great as consumers jump on the latest Android phones and on the iPhone. Apple reported on Monday that they sold 14.1 million iPhones globally last quarter.
