Patriot launches Torqx TRB SSD

Patriot has whipped out a pair of new SSDs in a new line called the Torqx TRB SSD family. Both of the new SSDs use JMicron controllers with the highest capacity version getting the new JM616 controller.

The 64GB version uses that new controller to get up to 260MB/s read and up to 115MB/s write speeds. The smaller 32GB SSD uses the JMicron JM612 controller to deliver read speed of up to 245MB/s and write speeds of up to 60MB/s.

The SSDs both have a 64MB cache and support TRIM and RAID. The SSDs need 0.5W of power in standby mode and 5.3W of power in operation. The MTBF rating for the SSDs is 1.5 million hours. The SSDs can also survive up to 1500G of shock when operating.
