Amazon has just sent out a celebratory press release. They state that Kindle device sales have already beaten Q4 2009 numbers. The latest generation of Kindles have been the fastest-selling ever and are also the bestselling products on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk right now. As of October, Amazon has already beaten their Q4 sales...with most of the shopping season left to go.
Over the last 30 days, Amazon has sold more Kindle copies than print copies of the top 10, 25, 100, and 1,000 bestselling books. For the top ten, customers have been buying ebooks over physical ones at a rate higher than 2 to 1. Amazon sold over 3 times as many Kindle books in the first nine months of 2010 as they did in the first nine months of 2009.
