Western Digital has been offering a line of media players for the TV for a while now and a new product has been added to the line up. The new player is called the WD TV Live Hub and it will be sold at Best Buy online and in Best Buy stores around the country.
The device sells for $199.99 and is available now. The player has support for just about every audio and video format out there with AVI, MPEG, MOV, JPEG, and a lot more. Content can be streamed at 1080p resolution and the player has a 1TB HDD inside that can be used to store media from network computers.
Content can be saved to the HDD from both Mac and Windows computers. Connectivity includes Gigabit Ethernet, dual USB ports, HDMI, Composite, component, and it has optical audio out. That HDMI output is 1.4 compliant. The device will stream content from Netflix, Blockbuster on Demand, YouTube, and more.
