White iPhone 4 delayed until Spring 2011

Yesterday we still reported that the white iPhone 4 briefly appeared in the Apple Store reservation system. Now Reuters carries an official statement from Apple saying that the white iPhone 4 is delayed until Spring 2011. Here goes a great Holiday gift for your wife or girlfriend.

Apple did not say why the company deals again the white iPhone 4. In August Apple issued a statement that the white iPhone 4 is delayed. In September an email response from Steve Jobs suggested that the white iPhone 4 arrives in time for Christmas. Two weeks ago a white iPhone 4 was spotted in New York. The owner of the white iPhone 4 prototype leaked that the delay is related to color matching issues of the different white parts of the device.

A release of a white iPhone 4 in Sprint 2011 would pretty much collide with the introduction of the iPhone 5 expected for June/July 2011. Apple can just skip the white iPhone 4 in my opinion, if they cannot manage to release it in 2010.
