HP / Palm: 6 webOS devices in 2010

Palm is about to strike back at the industry that spurned it, thanks to a financial shot-in-the-arm from HP. CENS reports that Palm has now resumed production of new smartphones. Foxconn will provide four to five such new mobiles over the course of 2011. Compal will also make a Palm device.

HP / Palm will also release a webOS tablet at some point in 2011. The new webOS is better at multitasking and at-a-glance operation than ever before. If this latest onslaught isn't enough to ensure it has a future somewhere outside the margins of the smartphone industry, nothing will be. A third chance is too much to hope for.
