The MeeGo OS got another infusion of "hope" today at the Sprint Developer Conference. Electronista reports that the carrier will support MeeGo by pushing to develop apps and services for the OS. Sprint is eager to support the new platform because, like Android, it is open source.
MeeGo will work with ARM and Atom chips. Sprint's new interest in the OS could speed up the launch of MeeGo tablets and smartphones. The first MeeGo phones will launch in 2011. The N900 has already been hacked to handle MeeGo, and the MeeGo Tablet could launch at any time.
