First Amazon Black Friday Countdown Deal is 55-inch Toshiba 55UX600U Net TV

As reported earlier today Amazon is launching their Black Friday Countdown sales today. Each Friday until November 19th Amazon is offering hot deals to shorten the time to the actual Black Friday 2010 on November 26th.

The first deal in the Amazon Black Friday Countdown is now available. The 55-inch Toshiba 55UX600U LED HDTV with Net TV is on sale for only $1,199.99. The list price of the 55UX600U is $2,399.99 and yesterday's price for it on Amazon was $1,399. You save today almost $200 today. I could not find a better deal anywhere on this TV (see price comparison below).

The Toshiba 55UX600U comes with a Wi-Fi adapter to connect to the internet and uses services like VUDI, Pandora, Youtube and more. Other features of the Toshiba 55UX600U include 120Hz, DynaLight backlight, Resolution+ (special up converter of SD to HD) 4 HDMI ports, USB, Ethernet, Photo Frame mode, Digital Tuner (ATSC/NTSC/QAM) and REGZA-Link.

The Toshiba 55UX600U is a solid mid-range large-screen TV with decent display performance. A negative is that Netflix is not supported via the online connectivity. If you need that I recommend though anyway getting a Roku box or the new Apple TV.
