HP Compaq CQ62-215DX Laptop for $349.99 is the first early Black Friday 2010 Laptop Deal

The HP Compaq Presario Laptop CQ62-215DX is a new budget laptop that got released this summer. Best Buy is offer ing the CQ62-215DX now for only $349.99. I could not find this laptop for under $400 anywhere else including Amazon, which offers it for $479.89.
The HP Compaq CQ62-215DX runs on a 2.2Ghz AMD V-Series CPU (V120) and a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphics system. Other features of the CQ62-215DX include 2GB DDR3 RAM (8GB Max.), 250GB HDD, 15.6-inch BrightView LED Display with 1,366x768px, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Altec Lansing speakers, 6-cell battery and LightScribe SuperMulti 8x DVD writer with double layer support. This budget laptop ships with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and a 60-day free trail of Microsoft Office 2007 Home & Student.
This low-priced laptop actually has decent looks as you can see in the photo gallery. The CQ62-215DX got also ok review on CNet. The performance is what you expect from a budget laptop (not that great, but sufficient for basic tasks). The biggest issue CNet has with this laptop is the stiff mouse button. If you plan to use an extra mouse with the CQ62-215DX this becomes a no-issue.
The big advantage of the HP Compaq CQ62-215DX that it is new and has some state-of-the-art features like LED screen and Wireless-N. Best Buy also offers the Toshiba Satellite L455-S5000 laptop for the same $349.99 price. This Intel Celeron laptop is older featuring only feature a standard LCD screen, 802.11g W-Fi, no LightScribe feature, outdated looks and can only be upgraded to 4GB of RAM. The advantage sof the L4550-S5000 are that it comes with 1GB more RAM and it has a card reader.
If I would have to decide betweent these two, I would get the Compaq CQ62-215DX laptop deal now on BestBuy.com before it is gone.
Best Buy had some very low priced laptop deals during early Black Friday sales last year. I expect more hot laptop and netbook deals to come from them soon. More Black Friday 2010 Deals.
