We reported earlier that the new Xbox 360 Dashboard update is due today. Now Microsoft's Major Nelson announced on his blog that the Xbox 360 update has been officially release. Many Xbox 360 users will get the update as soon as they sign in next time in Xbox Live.
The roll-out is happening over the next hours across the whole Xbox Live service. Major Nelson says that the rollout is not geographically based and you do not get it quicker by signing and out constantly.
The new Xbox 360 Dashboard update brings ESPN to Xbox live, Zune Music, Netflix search and many more improvements. Additionally this Xbox 360 update prepares your Xbox 360 for Kinect.
