Metallica to play launch party
A few select geeky writer types and industry insiders will get a really cool chance to see Metallica play at the launch event for the new Activision game Call of Duty: Black Ops. Metallica will be playing the launch party for the game in the Santa Monica Airport Hanger 8 venue.

Where some of the events of E3 were held a few years back that same place. Along with the band playing the event will honor the six branches of the armed forces and raise $1 million for the Call of Duty Endowment.
