Quirky New Snow White Movie Going 3D

Snow White will forever be a legendary full-length animated motion picture, and now Relativity Media is seeking to bring the classic fairy tale into a new light - a 3D light.

This won't be your typical Disney-style fare, though. The reimagined version of Snow White being produced in 3D will be much edgier and more intense. It'll be geared toward a more mature audience.

Tarsen Singh, a man with background in dark, surreal pictures, has been signed on to direct.

Other than that, little is known about what this unique new version of Snow White will bring. A release date hasn't even been mentioned at this time. But it is the first time a Grimm fairy tale has been brought to the 3D theater screens.

Expect it all to be in the sharpest and crispest 3D possible, unlike the last fairy tale movie, Alice in Wonderland. That movie, which was shot completely in 2D and only converted to 3D in last-minute post-production, left a huge blemish in the 3D movie market and has been used as an example of why cheap conversions are detrimental to the industry.
