Call of Duty: Black Ops is going to be released tomorrow. On the weekend we reported that based on pre-order numbers Black Ops is ahead of the record-breaking Modern Warfare 2 release last year. This would suggest that Black Ops will beat the sales numbers of MW2. reports today that financial analyst Cowan analyst Dough Creutz interprets the last Activision financial data that the company expects Black Ops to sell 20% less than MW2.
Black Ops is the new biggest entertainment launch in history
. At least for the launch day the analyst interpretation of the Black Ops sale are not correct.

Activision is pushing Black Ops pretty hard and has launched a controversial Black Ops TV Ad yesterday. If the higher pre-order number are an indication for a higher overall sales numbers for Black Ops remains to be seen. The excitement under COD fans is huge and many will head out tonight for Black Ops midnight launch events across the nation.
