The 17-inch MacBook Pro with Core i5 CPU is on sale on Amazon. You save over $200 bringing down the price to $2,097.45. On the Apple Store you pay $2,299 for this 17-inch MacBook Pro.
A 3rd party retailer is even offering right now for $2,040.18 (+$13.40 shipping).

The MacBook Pro is the flagship laptop line from Apple. The 17-inch models are desktop replacements. Features of the 17-inch MacBook Pro include 2.53Ghz Intel Core i5 CPU, 4GB DD3 RAM, 500GB HDD, Intel HD Graphics and NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with automatic switching and 8x DVD drive.
