With the launch of Kinect for the Xbox 360 and the Sony Playstation Move the battle between the video console makers has heated up again this holiday season. This is great news for Black Friday shoppers as Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo will be offering exciting deals through their retail partners to increase their market share. The Kinect sensor already shows shortages two weeks after its launch. Kinect could become very hard to find getting closer to Christmas.
We already learned about two special Black Friday release bundles from Sony that provide exceptional value. The Sony PSP Holiday Pack containing PSP-3000, Little Big Planet game, Karate Kid UMD and 1GB Memory Stick will be on sale on Black Friday for under $130. Amazon is already taking pre-orders now at $169.99 (with pre-order price guarantee). On Black Friday a new Sony PS3 Holiday Bundle will also be released.
The Sony PS3 Holiday Bundle contains the new 160GB PS3 console, the Uncharted 2 Game, the Karate Kid Blu-ray movie and a download voucher for PixelJunk Shooter. The best price we have seen so far is $299.99.
It remains to be seen if Microsoft will also release special holiday Xbox 360 bundles or if we just see Gift Card deals.
Nintendo has updated their standard Wii Bundles (available in white, black and limited edition red) with new Wii Remote controls and has added a second game. Nintendo is releasing two new Nintendo DSi bundles in orange and green on Black Friday. You can pre-order the new Nintendo DSi Bundles on Amazon Now.
There is also a special edition Nintendo DSi XL bundle with Mario Kart DS on top of three pre-installed games for $179.99 available this holiday season.
