That's why there's the Gran Turismo 5 Collector's Edition. Slated to come out alongside the regular edition on its newly minted November 24 release date, the Collector's Edition comes with all these extra goodies:
- An exclusive model car decked out in Gran Turismo 5 livery
- Five exclusive downloadable in-game cars
- Collector's Edition car lover's book
- Gran Turismo keychain
- Certificate of authenticity
- Custom packaging
For all that, you need only pay an extra $40. The Collector's Edition will set you back $100, compared to the regular edition's $60.
Of course, Gran Turismo 5 will be one of the biggest games for the holiday season. Fans of the series have been waiting with baited breath for what seems like forever, and the time has finally come - that is, unless there are more unexpected delays. But it sounds like the game is actually finished now, so that shouldn't happen.
Gran Turismo hasn't been alone, though. This year was rife with game delays, and many of the big holiday titles that were supposed to sweep the Christmas season have been postponed into 2011. To that end, at least Gran Turismo 5 succeeds.
It will be available for the critical season, and may even attract more gaming dollars than would have been expected, due to the fact that there aren't more heavy hitters reaching the shelves in time.
Regardless, Gran Turismo 5 will make a huge wave when it comes out later this month, and after so much fanfare and hype, you can't afford to miss the Collector's Edition bundle.
