Traditionally stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day. This year more stores than ever will open their stores on Thanksgiving Day. Sears has already announced that they will open from 7am to noon offering a special Thanksgiving Day Sale.

Reuters reports that Walmart also will open their stores on Thanksgiving Day. You need to check though if your local Walmart will be open, as your city ordinance might enforce that shops stay closed on Thanksgiving Day.

ToysRUs will also open already on Thanksgiving Day, but late at night at 10pm. ToysRUs is offering the first wave of Black Friday doorbusters already Thanksgiving night.

I highly recommend though to stay home and shop Thanksgiving Day online for the first Black Friday deals. You can enjoy the Turkey with your family and then hit the web to score Black Friday deals. Most retailers will start to offer their Black Friday deals already Thanksgiving Day. We will be alerting you to when the deals become available on Thanksgiving Day in our Black Friday Hub. Follow us on Twitter to not miss deal.

If you did not get your hands on a Black Friday deal on Thanksgiving Day you still can go out in the morning to hit your local mall. This way you keep all your chances intact.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
