Gingerbread is on the mind of Android fans around the world. Now Google Mobile tweeted (via Engadget) a photo showing Gingerbread Android Robot cookies the Google Cafes are supposedly baking.
Is this a hint that Gingerbread aka Android 2.3 is going to be released nowish?
With Gingerbread Android phones are supposed to see a major interface upgrade and Android gaming should see a boost. It is expected that Google will release Android 2.3 first on the Nexus One still this year.
Even if Android 2.3 will launch still this year it does not mean you will get it on your Android phone as well. Android 2.2 is still not available for all Android phones. New Android phones scheduled for a 2011 release are also still seen to be released with Android 2.2.
Just recently the unannounced HTC Mecha aka Incredible HD was spotted with Android 2.2.
