Walmart Black Friday Ad Deal analyzed: $198 32-inch Emerson HDTV

A 32-inch LCD HDTV for under $200 is a real Black Friday deal.

Walmart Black Friday Ad Deal analyzed: $198 32-inch Emerson HDTV

The Walmart Black Friday 2010 Ad has now been officially published and we can start analyzing and comparing deals for the actual Black Friday on Nov. 26th. Walmart features on the first page of the ad the 32-inch Emerson HDTV for $198. So far there is no lower priced 32-inch HDTV advertised for Black Friday. The closest is a $249.99 32-inch Coby HDTV featured in the ToysRUs Black Friday Ad. The best deal on a 32-inch HDTV so far during Black November was $259.99 from Amazon and Best Buy two weeks ago.

From a price perspective the Walmart 32-inch TV deal is unbeatable. Features of the 32-inch Emerson LC320EM1 HDTV include 720p, 60Hz, 2,500:1 dynamic contrast ratio, Energy Star 4.0 compliant and 3 HDMI ports. On the Walmart Black Friday ad it says that this TV has only 1 HDMI port, which is most likely a mistake. The product page for the 32-inch Emerson LC320EM1 states 3 HDMI ports.

What can happen still is that Amazon will match the $198 price on Black Friday with the 32-inch TCL HDTV that they offer right now for $279.99. If Amazon meets the price then I would get the TCL L32HDF11TA as it has more features and comes with a 2-year limited warranty.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
