Black Ops sets new 5 Day Sales Record in the Entertainment Industry with $650 million

Activision Publishing just announced another Call of Duty: Black Ops sales record. Black Ops has shattered theatrical box office, book and video game sales records for five-day worldwide sell through in dollars. The game established an all-new five-day worldwide sell-through record of more than $650 million, exceeding Activision's previous five-day worldwide record of $550 million set by last year's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 , according to internal Activision estimates.

Black Ops already set a new opening day sales record. Black Ops has become the biggest entertainment launch in history with an estimated sell-through of approximately $360 million in North America and the United Kingdom alone in the first 24 hours of its release.

Black Ops launched on Nov. 9 and is still the bestselling game on Amazon. The first two spots are occupied by Black Ops. In the lead is Black Ops for the Xbox 360 followed by Black Ops for PS3.

Call of Duty: Black Ops also set two new records on Xbox Live. More than 5.9 million multiplayer hours were logged playing Call of Duty: Black Ops by end of launch day, November 9. and more than 2.6 million unique gamers played Call of Duty: Black Ops in one day on November 9.

Black Ops is available for Xbox 360, Sony PS3, Wii, PC and DS on Amazon.

If you are waiting for Black Ops Black Friday deals, there will not be that many. We only know about a $199.99 4GB Xbox 360 with Black Ops to be available in the Kmart Black Friday sale.
