Apple is hosting a media event on tomorrow, January 27th, in San Francisco. Everybody in the world expects Apple to unveil the Apple Tablet aka iTablet, iSlate, iPad, Pad and Slate.
There are plenty of rumors about the Apple Tablet, but honestly we actually know nothing. Until now Apple managed to keep us in a murky state of information that hides the Apple Tablet perfectly.
The rumors cover such a wide field of applications for the Apple Tablet that it is hard to tell where Apple will run with it. What will be the simple message of the Apple Tablet? Is it an eBook and magazine reader, movie viewer, game machine, or just a giant iPhone?
Is the Apple Tablet more akin to a MacBook or an iPhone? More rumors point towards an iPhone OS running on the Apple Tablet.
Somehow it is assumed that the iPad is having 3G connectivity. Why?
The price of the Apple Tablet is rumored to be around $1,000. The experience using an Apple Tablet needs to be better or more convenient than using a MacBook or an iPhone, why else would you spend $1,000 on a new device?
There is no single spy shot of the Apple Tablet. All circulating Apple Tablet images are fake renderings. Another win for Apple on that front.
Apple manages to even to keep the name of the Tablet a mystery with shell companies registering domain names and trademarks. I am really impressed! One day before the big unveiling of a new product and we know nothing, besides maybe if true, Steve Jobs saying "This will be the most important thing I've ever done."
Tomorrow is the day. Apple unveils a new product category, it better not suck.
