Amazon unveiled a new way of gifting Kindle eBooks. Beginning today, just in time for the holiday season, you can give Kindle Books as gifts to anyone with an email address, no Kindle device required. Kindle Books can be read on Kindle devices and free Kindle reading apps for iPad, iPod touch, iPhone, Mac, PC, BlackBerry and Android-based devices.
Now you can make book gifts to your loved ones without having to gift wrap them. To give a Kindle Book as a gift, you simply choose a book in the Kindle Store, select “Give as a Gift” and send the gift to anyone with an email address. Notifications of Kindle Books gifts are delivered instantly via email and the recipient redeems the gift in the Kindle Store to read on any Kindle or free Kindle app.
To start gifting eBooks visit this Amazon page.
The Amazon Kindle is still the most gifted item in the history of Amazon. The Kindle device has never been more affordable starting at $139. Shop for the Kindle on Amazon.
