Specifications

The Booq Boa for iPad measures 10.75" x 8.5" x 0.75" and is designed specifically for the iPad from Apple when open the Booq Boa for iPad leaves all controls and ports open and accessible. It weighs .08 pounds and can be used to prop your iPad up for easy viewing and reading. The Booq Boa for iPad is available right now for $49.95.

In Use

The Booq Boa for iPad is a very cool case that is designed to protect your iPad and make it easier to use. The thing has a small pocket on the front that is sized for carrying your iPhone. The case is thick and covered with durable denier fabric on the outside of the case. My review sample was black with red liner. It can also be had gray, sand, silver, and berry colors.

The iPad slides into the case easily when it is open. The part of the case that holds the iPad is made from a plastic material that is ridged. The inside of the case is a slippery nylon material that should keep scratches at bay. My iPad fit into the Booq Boa for iPad without any issues with the screen protection film installed.

The closing flap that covers the screen will keep the screen from being scratched up during transit and means that this case offers more protection than some on the market. My favorite feature of the Booq Boa for iPad is that you can use that flap that covers the screen it prop the iPad up for reading or watching video.

I read lots of books on my iPad and watch quite a bit of YouTube so being able to prop the iPad on the table and watch a video without having to hold the iPad was nice. I also like to read while I wait for the kids to get out of school and the Booq Boa for iPad lets me sit the iPad on the dash rather than having to look down in my lap when holding the iPad. This is a fantastic case and if you travel a lot or take your iPad with you on the go this will offer more protection than a simple silicone sleeve will.

The only thing I didn’t like bout the Booq Boa for iPad was that the lid wanted to flip back closed if I was holding it like a book. The cover doesn’t fold flat against the back of the case. I expect that after using the Booq Boa for iPad for a while the lid would be less springy and would fold flat a bit better.

Verdict

Pros

  • Easy to install and remove iPad from case
  • Offers lots of protection
  • Props iPad up for viewing

Cons

  • Top flap doesn’t fold flat against back of case

Conclusion

The Booq Boa for iPad is an excellent case for the iPad owner wanting protection in transit and likes to watch video without having to hold the case in their hands.
