I reviewed the awesome new Need for Speed Hot Pursuit title not long ago and loved the game. I mentioned at the time that it was one of the best racing games ever for the PS3. The only thing that could make a video game that is already awesome even more epic is more cars and races. EA has announced a new Need for Speed Super Sports content pack.
The content pack adds a bunch of new events and some epic new sports cars for you to drive. The update adds in 13 new race and pursuit events and three new supercars to drive. The new cars include the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, the Gumpert Apollo S, and the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 super Sport. EA says that it chose these three vehicles based on their unsurpassed performance.
The Super sports content pack will hit the Xbox 360 on December 21 and the PS3 on December 22. The pack will cost $6.99 on the PS3 or 560 Microsoft points. When if the content pack will hit the Wii and PC version of the game is an unknown, EA makes no mention of that. The new cars in the pack will be offered in both cop and racer mode.
The thought of a Veyron police car is so cool. That Bugatti in the real world is the fastest car on the planet. The real car has 1200hp, lateral acceleration of 1.4G, and a top speed rating of 267mph. Yeah it's fast. Too bad the car's looks don't live up to the performance; the front end of the car is horrible to my eyes.
