New iPad and Galaxy S cases launch

Just where the hell do you stick a tablet? For women, the answer is obvious. Purses are perfectly socially acceptable. Just up the size a bit and, boom, you're golden. Things are more difficult for men, especially in the wake of the terrible damage dealt to all man-bags by The Hangover. So how do you carry your iPad or Galaxy Tab or [Unreleased Theoretical Tablet] without looking like a wuss?

Targus claims they have an answer, one that will be on display at the CES 2011 show in Las Vegas this January.

This 'answer' is actually a series of case solutions for the iPad, Galaxy Tab and Kindle 3. They also offer an example of what we can expect Targus to do for the bevy of other tablets that will launch in 2011. The company already has a line of universal e-reader cases. Universal tablet cases won't be long in coming.

The Adjustable iPad stand is one product I wouldn't mind seeing hit the wider market. It is a little rolling cylinder inside a metal base that your iPad clips into. You'll be able to adjust the angle to sit your iPad straight up or lay it almost-flat on the table.

Next is the stately Truss stand for the Samsung Galaxy. It is made of handsome leather (or pleather) and acts as a journal-style case as well as an elevating stand. This is the sort of case every tablet could use. It offers protection, looks good, and acts as a stand without leaving a big honking slab of plastic sticking out of the back.

There's a Truss stand for the iPad, too. So we should see this product line roll out to cover all the big launches of 2011, like the Motopad.
