Watch your new iPad age in your hands as rumors of a new Apple iPad intensify. The new iPad 2 could ship as early as January, but I guess Apple is kind enough to wait until March or April. This way if you got an iPad for Christmas (chances are pretty high) than you still can be happy to own the latest model for another three to four months.
New rumors from Japan based Macotakara (vial AppleInsider) suggest that the iPad 2 has a smaller bezel, new wide-range speakers on the back and a flat back like the new iPod touch. Rumors that the new iPad will have a smaller form factor with same screen-size have already been around.
The Japanese iPad 2 rumor report says that the new iPad 2 would ship still in January. As mentioned above, I really doubt that will happen. It may also depend what the tablet competition is dishing out at CES 2011. Motorola is already busy teasing their new tablet. If there is any Android Tablet launching in January that is better than the Galaxy Tab, Apple might bomb it away with the iPad 2 release.
