Ford has announced that a new app is now available for download on the App Store and for Android devices called Sync Destinations. The app allows you to prepare your trip and get updates about traffic and accidents along your route. The app has a feature that shuts off the screen once the car is going over 5mph to prevent you from getting distracted.
I guess if you have a passenger acting as your navigator, you are out of luck. The app will work with any 2010 or 2011 Sync vehicle that has the TDI update installed. You can download right now free of charge on both Android and the iPhone. The app will work on the iPad and the iPhone.
Features include Predictive Traffic powered by INRIX. It is able to provide users with the ideal time to leave a location, travel time, and the ETA based on current and expected traffic conditions along the route. The maps have real-time speed, accident, and incident information along all highways, interstates, and city streets in 126 different metro areas in North America.
