Vizio has talked about its plans to toss a new Android tablet and smartphone on to the market later this summer. You can bet with its tablet and phone ambitions outed already that they will be talked about at CES. The company alas plans to fight for the tablet market with a new tablet called the Vizio Via Tablet.
The tablet will use an 8-inch screen and pack in WiFi, three speakers, and a front facing camera for video calls. I would imagine the tablet will run Honeycomb or higher as the OS since we are months away from the official launch of the unit.
The smartphone will run Android and feature a 4-inch screen, front facing camera, and a 5MP rear camera for photos. There is no word on 3G data capability on the tablet or what network the smartphone will run on at this time. Perhaps more details will come later this week.
