Samsung has announced that it will be unveiling a new camcorder at CES 2011 for the first time. The new camcorder is a full HD resolution unit called the HMX-Q10. The camcorder has a BSI CMOS sensor and uses new Switch Grip tech that angles the LCD to make it easy no matter how the camera is held.
That screen angle tech uses a G-magnetic sensor to detect the angle. The functions of the camera are controlled by the 2.7-inch touchscreen. It has a 5MP resolution for still shots and records video on 1080p resolution. The device has a 10x optical zoom lens and optical image stabilization.
The camera measures 43.7 x 53.3 x 119.4mm and has all sorts of automatic shooting modes and features. The camera will ship in February for $299 making it surprisingly cheap for a full HD camcorder with some interesting features.
