The Super Bowl 2011 is taking place at the Dallas Cowboys stadium in North Texas on Feb. 6th. The 2009 opened stadium in Arlington has a capacity of up to 110,000. When you have a crowd of 100,000 is it usually almost impossible to get a call or text messages out on your cell phone. Networks regularly break down at events. The Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wants to avoid this problem an has his stadium enhanced with cellphone capacity for the big game. According to a Fox 4 News report the Dallas Cowboys stadium has now 1,000 Wi-Fi and cellular network antennas and has the capacity for 150,000 people to make calls and send SMS in and around the stadium.
We will see on Super Bowl Sunday if the enhanced infrastructure is enough. Do not expect to get a 3G Skypevideo call out, but you will be able to tell your friends how cool it is to be at the Super Bowl 2011.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
