Job Search site CareerBuilder ran successful Super Bowl ads featuring chimpanzees back in 2005 and 2006 and stopped after the public outcry got too big. We already reported in December that PETA already has sent an open letter to CareerBuilder to not bring back the Chimpanzees in their Super Bowl 2011 ad. An new article on the New York Times confirms though now that the CareerBuilder Super Bowl 2011 ad will feature Chimpanzees again.
How To: Buy a Pokemon Go Plus
Back in 2006 CareerBuilder launch an email app called Monk-e-mail that allowed you to have animated chimps deliver messages to your friends. The app is still live and CareerBuilder says that people still use it and that until now 160 million monk emails have been sent. As part of the new CareerBuilder Super Bowl ad the Monk-e-mail app will be relaunched with state-of-the-art social network features and better animated chimpanzees.
CareerBuilder decided to go back to what has worked best for them as Super Bowl ad. According to the New York Times CareerBuilder will again use real Chimpanzees for the commercial despite the heavy criticism of animal rights group PETA. CareerBuilder says that the Chimpanzees received fair and humane treatment during the shoot. They considered CG, but decided against it.
I am not sure if the Chimpanzees will work again for CareerBuilder during Super Bowl. What will likely happen is that in the next few weeks animal rights group will drum up resistance against the ad, which will increase awareness for it.
The CareerBuilder Super Bowl 2011 Commercial is official with monkeys.
Just like last year, I4U News will be featuring again the Super Bowl for Geeks Guide. Of course the Super Bowl 2011 for Geeks Guide will be all about the Super Bowl Commercials and not the big game. The Super Bowl XLV will take place in the Dallas Cowboys stadium on February 6th 2011.
