A new report from Asymco has surfaced that shows with the App Store nearing the 10 billion download mark the number of apps downloaded per iOS device is right at 60. That is a bunch of apps downloaded for sure.
The report finds that apps have needed less than half the length of time that music downloads needed to hit the 10 billion mark. Apps are also on track to overtake the downloads of songs in the next few months.
One interesting thing that the report points out is that the success of iOS devices like the iPhone and the large number of downloaded apps per user represent a significant expense on the user's part. This will help tie the users to Apple devices so the apps aren’t lost according to the report.
