It is official.
Two weeks ago we already reported about a rumor that Christina Aguilera will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl XLV. Now the NFL made it official. Five-time Grammy award winning singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera will sing the National Anthem as part of Super Bowl XLV pregame festivities at Cowboys Stadium in North Texas on Sunday.

"I have been performing the Anthem since I was seven years old and I must say the Super Bowl is a dream come true," Aguilera said. "I am really excited to be part of such an iconic event."
Christina Aguilera returns to the Super Bowl having performed during halftime of Super Bowl XXXIV in Atlanta.
She is among many great performers who have been honored with singing the Super Bowl National Anthem including: Billy Joel, Diana Ross, Neil Diamond, Whitney Houston, Harry Connick, Jr., Garth Brooks, Natalie Cole, Vanessa Williams, Luther Vandross, Jewel, Cher, Faith Hill, the Backstreet Boys, Mariah Carey, Dixie Chicks, Beyonce Knowles and many more.
The Super Bowl 2011 entertainment program is all set. The Black Eyed Peas will perform the halftime show. Not that it is that important but the Pittsburgh Steelers play against the Green Bay Packers.
Just like last year, I4U News will be featuring again the Super Bowl for Geeks Guide. Of course the Super Bowl 2011 for Geeks Guide will be all about the Super Bowl Commercials and not the big game. The Super Bowl is the most-watch TV progam in history. The Super Bowl XLV will take place in the Dallas Cowboys stadium on February 6th 2011.
