MSI has unveiled a new gaming notebook today that uses the Intel Sandy Bridge platform called the GT680R-008US. The new notebook has some nice hardware inside. That hardware includes the Core i7-2630QM processor.
The OS for the notebook is Windows 7 Home Premium and it has 8GB of RAM. MSI uses a pair of 500GB HDDs for storage and the rig has 802.11n WiFi. The screen of the notebook is a 15.6-inch LED backlit unit with a resolution of 1920 x 1080.
That means it will support full 1080p HD video. Graphics are handled by a GeForce GTX 460M GPU. Other feature include THX TruStudio premium sound, MSI Cooler Boost technology, and a 720p webcam. The machine starts at $1649.99 and can be purchased on NewEgg.com right now.
