Cool case that looks like carbon fiber for the iPad

Today I am checking out a cool case for the iPad from Mivizu called the Sleek iPad Leather case. This case has a hinged flap that covers the screen for scratch protection and comes in several different colors to suit your needs. Specifications

The Mivizu Sleek iPad Leather Case is a leather case and comes in multiple colors. The case has a lid that has a top hinge that covers the screen. It has cell foam bumpers to protect the table tin a drop and more. You can order one up right now for $79.

In Use

The Mivizu Sleek iPad Leather Case comes in several colors. My test unit was a nice looking color called Black Carbon. It looks like carbon fiber. The case comes in pink and a number of other colors as well. The case is made from leather with a carbon fiber print on it. The leather is made to resist abrasions and tears and will offer protection for your device.

When the lid is up the iPad will slip right into the case without any issues. My iPad has a screen protection film on it and it fits inside the Mivizu Sleek iPad Leather Case with no problems. The case holds the sides of the iPad and the lid flips down over the top when you want screen protection.

To keep the flap closed the bottom of the screen protection section has a little plastic catch that grabs the bottom of the iPad. The inside of the top and bottom of the Mivizu Sleek iPad Leather Case is covered in a soft black velour material that will prevent any scratches over time.

Mivizu makes a very similar case that has the hinged flap on the side rather than the top. That case is designed to allow you to use it like a stand to prop the iPad up for watching video and more. This case doesn't advertise the ability to prop the iPad up. However, if you balance it well and the surface isn’t that slick it will prop the iPad up in landscape mode.

The sides of the case are made from hard plastic to provide protection and it should protect as well as any of the bumper cases I have seen. The big benefit here is that you get some protection for the screen, which is the most fragile part of the tablet.

The only downside to the Mivizu Sleek iPad Leather Case is that it costs $80. The case looks good and works very well so if the price doesn't bother you the case will make you happy.
