As reported two weeks ago, PepsiCo is considering to run a 7th Super Bowl ad on Sunday promoting Lipton Brisk ice-tea. According to the NY Post, PepsiCo signed rapper Eminem in a $1m deal to voice a claymation character in the Brisk Super Bowl 2011 commercial.
Update:
Watch the Eminem Brisk Super Bowl Ad now.
Brisk has right now a new TV commercial campaign on the start featuring claymation. The current Brisk ad stars Danny Trejo from the movie Machete. Watch this ad here. So Eminem would not personally be seen in the ad, but you would hear his voice. The claymation character would of course resemble Eminem. There is no official confirmation of the Eminem Brisk ad, so this still could turn out to be a rumor.
Eminem's most recent album Recovery put the famous rapper back on the scene and a Super Bowl ad appearance is feasible.
PepsiCo is going to run three Doritos Super Bowl ads and three Pepsi Max Super Bowl ads this Sunday. All six commercials are crowd sourced through the Crash The Super Bowl contest. The public voting of the finalists has closed and we will have to wait until the Super Bowl 2011 to see the winning ads.
Just like last year, I4U News will be featuring again the Super Bowl for Geeks Guide. Of course the Super Bowl 2011 for Geeks Guide will be all about the Super Bowl Commercials and not the big game. The Super Bowl XLV will take place in the Dallas Cowboys stadium on February 6th 2011.
