When it comes to point and shoot digital cameras, the super zoom offerings that can get really close to the action are very popular. Sony has announced the addition of a pair of new super zoom offerings to its lineup today including the HX100V and the HX9V.
The two cameras share many of the same features like a 3-inch rear LCD, 16.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensor, and Sweep Panorama. Both of the cameras can record video at 1080p 60 fps resolution and shoot still pics in3MP resolution while shooting video.
The difference between the two cameras is that the HX100V has 30x optical zoom and the HX9V has 16x optical zoom. The lenses on both cameras are 24mm wide-angle offerings and both can focus in only 0.1 seconds. Other features include GPS and a compass. Both will ship in April with the HX100V at $450 and the HX9V at $350.
