The biggest day in TV advertising is almost here. The Super Bowl 2011 takes place this Sunday. The roster of the 2011 Super Bowl Ads is pretty much complete. There sure are one or two surprise commercials that we did not hear about yet. What we can say already is that there will be a lot of Super Bowl ads with celebrity appearances.
Ace Metrix released last month a study that shows that celebrity ads do not perform better than other ads. It looks like Super Bowl Advertisers do not care. The Super Bowl 2011 commercials feature tons of celebrities. Celebrities are an easy way to garner attention for the commercial. Additionally advertisers automatically reach the fan base of the celebrity with their message. Just take the Best Buy Super Bowl Commercial. It has Justin Bieber in it.
