Black Friday 2011 Prediction; All new Mid- and High-End TVs have 3D Built-in

3D TVs stayed on the shelves in 2010 despite crazy bundle deals and discounts. We actually called out 3D TVs the best Black Friday deal of 2010. The CES 2011 in January did not bring dramatic new changes to the 3D TV segment. We still need glasses to watch 3D. The new generation of 3D TVs is just offering better quality, lower prices for glasses and more confusion as passive 3D TVs will enter the market.

I am currently in the process of getting a new TV for my living room. I am a sucker for high-end TVs, i admit it. I am not sold though on the 3D TV stuff. I think 3D only works in the cinema or on a decent 3D Home Projector. The size of the screen is just very important to create an immersive 3D experience. Of course there are the glasses, but they do not bother me. The lack of 3D Blu-ray releases is the bigger issue for bringing 3D home. Despite me not wanting a 3D TV, I will end up having to get one. Why? Because all interesting high-end TVs will just have it built in if you want it or not.

Right now I have my eyes on the LG Nano Full LED TVs: LG LW9500, LG LW7700 and LG LEX8. The non-existing bezel, the thinness and the amazing image quality (up to 480Hz!) make these TVs extremely desirable. All LG Nano Full LED TVs are 3D. And this is just where the industry will go this year. Most new High-end and most mid-range TVs have 3D built-in. Come Black Friday 2011, most advertised TV deals will be 3D TVs. Of course there will be again the bargain TV deals that maximize price/size ratio or offer a TV at the lowest prices ever seen.

When I get my LG Nano Full LED TV (not shipping yet) I will not use 3D at all. I just will put the glasses in the closet. Is force feeding 3D the way to go? What do you think?

Black Friday 2011 is on November 25. Once again the whole month of November will be the filled with hot Black Friday deals. I4U News will again report about the best Black Friday deals and the hottest Black Friday ads as soon as they become available. Expect the Black Friday 2011 deal news to start to flow in mid of October.
