One of the more famous modders out there is Ben Heck. The geek has been making all sorts of stuff for a long time now. Typically, he is making game consoles into portable versions that people can take on the road with them.
The latest project from the Ben Heck show is a new Sega CDX device that takes the old school Sega CDX and makes it into a smaller portable form. The finished product looks really cool and you can win the thing if you register at Element 14. The episode walks you through the design and build process.
"It was a blast taking something as awesome as the Sega CDX and making it even easier to use with a smaller footprint so I can bring it with me everywhere," said Ben Heck. "Not only that, but I reminisced about Full Motion Video games from the early '90's and a few diamonds in the rough like 'Snatcher' and 'Lunar: The Silver Star.'"
